Addiction and the Family: An Online Course for Faith Leaders is based on the materials in "Spiritual Caregiving to Help Addicted Persons and Families." This course was developed to enhance your understanding of addiction and its impact on family members and provide you with strategies and tools to help individuals and family members start on the road to recovery. This course is designed to meet half the training requirements for the Certificate in Spiritual Caregiving to Help Addicted Persons and Families and provides three (3) education contact hours.

This online course, Preventing Alcohol and Drug Problems: A Course for Clergy, provides information on practical steps you can take to help the children and youth in your congregation and community. The intent of this course is to enhance your knowledge and skills about prevention of alcohol and drug abuse. The content of this course is based on the handbook "Preventing and Addressing Alcohol and Drug Problems: A Handbook for Clergy," published by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The course should take you approximately three (3) hours to complete including all the resource materials accessable from the course.
