Helping Children and Youth of Addicted Parents is designed for those who are interested in promoting resilience and providing support to the one in four children who live in families with a parent with an alcohol or drug use disorder. These millions of children, who suffer in silence, can be helped by many adults in the community ranging from teachers, to early childhood professionals, to social workers, to attorneys, to youth workers, and relatives. This course provides basic information about children of addicted parents and strategies that can be used to help them become more resilient.
Completing this course is a requirement for the Certificate in Working with Children of Addicted Parents. If you are applying for the Certificate in Working with Children of Addicted Parents, please print out the completion certificate at the end of the course and include that with your application.
